today at the shops a lady tried to teach her young daughter the value of money; problem is, she proceded to hold up the entire cue, whilst loudly asking the child how her maths was going, telling her she needed to work it out better; the child was 10 cents short, the mum refuesed to put the childs shopping through on her card; she wanted to poor checkout girl to process her own shopping, plus 10 cents,and then put the childs through with the childs pocket money ; this of course cant occur and th epoort check out girl was trying her hardest to work out a system where it could work; in the end she offered to do a cash out on the mums card for 10 cents, but the mother refused because no; that will cost me money. for heavens sake... teaching a child maths is a great idea but not if you are going to hold up a whole line of shoppers, make unreasonable demands on a checkout operator, embarrase the child... all for 10 cents. if i had 10 cents in my purse i would have just given it to the child!~~~~~ seriously.
