today i found a note stating that the writer would indeed marry the intended recipient of said note, someday, but that said recipient needed first to actually put some effort into proposing before any plans were to be made. the fact the writer of the note demanded ring and bended knee seemed perfectly reasonable, such things must be done properly, after all, but the fact that the entire scenario was played out on a scrap of paper, and (presumably) handed to the hopeful groom like a do you like me []yes []no note from elementary school belies a level of dysfunction that is so far beyond the scope of my imaginings that i cannot fully comprehend it
