took a drive (literally) down memory lane today -- driving to Everett to visit an old friend on the way home from Sequim, I took the Kingston/Edmonds ferry and instead of taking the highway, I drove most of the way there through town and up Olympic View Drive and past Meadowdale HS. On a sunny day like this, it reminded me of bike rides with Ozie and Brad down to Edmonds, where we occasionally rode our bikes in the summer, so that we could be ignored by a whole different set of girls than the ones closer to home. And Meadowdale was a frequent stop when I was a young photographer, servicing our high school accounts -- they had a great yearbook teacher there, Tom Fortin (?), who was lots of fun to work with. Those were good times. I wouldnt want to go back to those times, but Im glad I lived through them.
