tracking down ALL the little deck leaks.... The wet season is here. Thank goodness for a boatcover that lets me work topside. If it were not for a canvas boat cover La Creole would have been lost many years before I got her. Last year I took the time to make a new boat cover. It was a big project and still not really complete. I dont leave it up as a rule. When the weather prognosticators say rain is coming, up she goes. When it clears for a few days, it gets furled away, but kept handy. In lasting good weather I work on improving the cover and patching any damage a hard blow causes. I am very blessed to have acquired marine canvas fabricating skills, and equipment, back along my wake... as I did blacksmithing, metal fabrication, structural welding, Machining, foundry, basic carpentry, luthery, precious metals fabrication, drafting and first aid.
