#transformationtuesday I do these comparisons every so often, not so much for you guys… Just more of making sure that I stay pretty aware of where I could go if I lose attention to things. The change from one direction guy to another is not an overnight process…… But every bit of it all starts with one day right after the next. The only guarantees that you have or that the time will pass, what you are and what youve achieved at the end of it are entirely up to you. training for obstacle course races has put me in the best shape of my life, only regret that I have is finding it so late. At 40 years old I am still very aware of the fact that I am out there chasing around a bunch of 20-year-old young somethings. But it keeps me moving, it keeps me motivated, and it keeps me improving. seems like just yesterday that I was almost 300 pounds, now weights not even something thats on my mind. ive never been very good at losing weight by trying to lose weight. Ive always found that if you set goals for yourself and train towards them aggressively that the weight-loss is something that will come as an ancillary benefit. Id much rather focus on improving my quarter mile sprint time, my mile time, my 10K time etc.…improving my dad left, my back squat, my front squat, or my clean and jerk….I can assure you that the path of these will take you towards weight loss if done consistently and aggressively. It will also give you more than one marker of success, standing on the scale every single day and using that is your only gauge for success will get you nowhere. if I dont lose any weight but my mile time improved by five seconds, its still a good day… Etc. set your goals… Train towards them #spartanrace #spartantraining #formandfitness
