ugh! Ive been seeing a lot of posts about breakups and people not owning up to their responsibilities like they should; it hurts my heart bc that was me, in that situation, not too long ago (some days still is lol) a little bit of advice from a jerk-y friend (lol) is what helped me with my disappointment and unrealistic expectations, it went something like this: its really sad, what happened to you. But you have to move on, he clearly did. I know your kids miss their dad, but he obviously doesnt. Cut and dried to the point, his speech was (a little bit hurtful too lol) but out of everything that everyone was saying to help me or console me, that was the best, believe it or not lol and the best thing that I ever did, was choose to focus my everything on my sons. Suuuure I had a few go crazy moments lol who wouldnt? You need to take time for yourself, but dont let it become about you-your child/children need you now more than ever; dont dwell on what the other parent is or isnt doing, you cant control someone elses actions but you certainly can control yours and be the best parent that your child deserves. Prayers for all the babies growing through this. Even if people dont think that kids know, oh believe me they do, they can feel it when things arent right in their world ... but may they always know that they are much loved.
