update! The chemo dr was very positive today-with age on our side, good health and positive attitude, we believe that we will beat this----the cat scan is scheduled for Friday and will be a key piece to this puzzle--right now the plan is to get a port installed on Jan 20th-Chemo will start on Feb2 in Lincoln. We will arrive and a pump will be our new best friend-he will leave the Lincoln office with a small fanny pack type pump that he will wear for 2 days, he will than report to the Geneva hospital to have the pump removed-he will wait 2 weeks and begin the process over again for a total of 12 cycles. The side affects are minimal, diarrhea and some numbness in the fingers are possible as the process hits week 8--Our whole focus right now is the scan on Friday--we need this to come back clear and not show any more hot spots in his body-he is resting now and glad to have the staples out-one more day closer to kicking this-the emotional roller coaster is the worst right now but realizing we are not walking this journey alone is our inspiration!
