via Shelley Petlansky Watkins - The dairy industry is shaking in their boots, hence all the butter and cheese are GOOD for you articles. But health concerns aside, millions upon millions of male calves are taken away from their mamas immediately after birth as the mamas cry for days, and they are placed into tiny, filthy crates, fed a low-iron formula (not their mamas milk) and killed before four months of age if not immediately, some are born and die on the kill floor. The mamas have to give birth once a year to keep the milk coming. Its a brutal, bloody, heartbreaking industry. Please dont support it.
