This clip reinforces a lot of things I have said about the idea of police militarization in the past, so of course Im going to share it. None of this is the result of a centralized sociopolitical agenda focusing on one population or ethnicity, and I say that again because the paranoia attached to that idea needs to be purged from our collective consciousness. Police violence and militarization is the result of two or three unnecessary wars and a complete lack of regulation and supervision. I agree with Bill here to be sure. Here is big government in real time, you Tea Party morons. Here is directionless tyranny and a use of force more irresponsible than your idiotic open/carry demonstrations. You do not get to whine about the size of local, state, or federal governments until you start to address the seriously bizarre and unconstitutional instances of police abuse currently underway in our communities. And no, this does not give you, or anyone else, the right to carry more powerful weaponry around. The point is to eliminate this violence from our communities responsibly and rationally.
