was at a camping area with my grandkids this weekend and had my first test with Porta-bote-LED. I was using 4 LED-strips and each one was 5 meter. They need 12 Volt power supply and each strip has an effect consumption of 70 Watt. I dont know how many Lumens but I can tell that its more than enough. It was hard do get any good picture because of the difference of light when it became dark around midnight and the bright light from those RGB-strips. It was a lake (Yxningen) and the water is full of particles and in daylight you can see 1/2 meter down. With help of the light I saw 3-4 meters down. You have to imagine an air around the boat full of bright insects and in the water all the bubbles looking like diamonds... The name of the boat is The Green Machine and thats the reason Im using green colour. But its RGB-strips and I can change to which colour I want with a remote control. Out there at the lake I used yellow and blue because this day was The National Day Of Sweden. You have to beleive me. I have no photo proof because I have to be in the boat with the twins... Later on I had to remove the strips because I didnt want to destroy them when I have to fold the boat. But I have an idea to using a kind of that kind you using for hiding cables and mount those strips permanently. Conclusion: The effect was amazing and reminded me of the movie Avatar...
