watched a tv show, a middle class girl falls in love with a good looking rich boy, they get engaged. However now she realises that he was trying to control her life, he started enforcing his decisions on her. He started deciding with whom she should meet. He has problem with her male friends.. The director of tv show shows her as a victim..and many educated people would certainly have sympathy with her and hating that boy. to my mind however, she was not a victim as he had not forced her to be with him, its a democratic free country where she has rights to make her choices. She wanted to be with him as after marriage she would be leaving her small house in a middle class colony to settle in a big palace in a posh area. The same girl would anyway reject a feminist but poor boy. (this is not to say that i m condoning that rich feudal minded man).
