we dont worship idols we worship god alone. and by our holy mother mary we get closer to jesus. she is not just a vessel she is the mother of god all deserving of all our love and praise. remember this! we dont ever worship our mother or the saints alone we worship jesus through them and in them alone. if you stop and look every catholic prayer has jesus in them. i dont worship clay or stone i worship what the image represents that is jesus. jesus told john when he was on the cross son behold your mother,mother behold your son. in that moment jesus gave us his holy mother so to love mary is to love jesus.
