we have started a new thing in our scripture study group and i wanted to share it with you- #DailyDoseDailyPost I think most of us have a goal to not only read but study our scriptures daily. It is a great goal, but hard to keep somedays. What do you do to increase not only your reading but also your understanding in the scriptures? #DailyDoseDailyPost “When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates.” –President Thomas S. Monson When reading is done to fulfill a quota, it is simply done. When reading is done with the knowledge that it needs to be reported on, the brain engages and the heart opens to the Spirit of revelation. I started doing this last year and found that I learned more than ever simply by posting some thought on the group every day. No need to be profound. No length requirement or study schedule. Post on the topic, the 365 scheduled reading, ancient or modern scripture or whatever your personal study of the gospel is that day. Post with the date, reference and then just share a thought, understanding, feeling, question . . . anything on where your daily reading took you. I know that i have found greater understanding, meaning, and joy in the scriptures through this process. I encourage you to join the challenge here in the group and /or on your own page.
