when I unpacked the car last night, I also sorted out the chuck tote, taking all the food stuff out. still have to clean the stove and oven after the pumpkin pie spill. it mostly turned to carbon though. did laundry today, but that was about all I could handle. my lips are a bit raw, and like a lot of my HoP friends, I took a bit too much sun over the weekend, but thats camping for ya. I still plan on doing a solo campout at Ledges next year, but not sure when. for the larger events I go to, I am thinking about getting this amazon/Camp-Chef-Camping-Outdoor-Burner/dp/B0013LLSZG/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1412541058&sr=1-3&keywords=Coleman+campstove+oven , as it would let me do more baking, faster! while at the burn this weekend, immersed in the artistic endeavours of the folk there, I realized that while I am reasonably good at sketching, and am the only person I know that can play music on my thumb, my real art is cooking. its not the haute cuisine some might produce, but its made in a field kitchen, and shared with love. plus, as Ive noted before, when someone offers you a freshly baked muffin, its such a wonderful surprise!
