wooohoo......a friend from my home whom I have known since birth in my town of Grafton Tracey-lee Schuhmacher was born with CF she is 23yrs old and received her double lung transplant yesterday at ST Vincent Hospital in Sydney yesterday..this is a caption from a family member........ Just came out from seeing Tracey-lee Schuhmacher and she has had the mouth tubes removed and is indeed breathing on her own. She is using a mask to suplement her oxygen levels and is in a lot of pain. Everything is going as well as can be expected and Tracey is even talking ever so softly. She is such a soldier, insperational. So much pain but still forces a smile to try to ease our worry. Lainee is staying with Tracey so she is not alone and there is a dedicated nurse watching Traceys every move 24/7 with dozens of machines surounding her. If she blinks they know. She is by no means out of the woods yet, but the most crusual time has gone well and us mere mortels can relax a little. I pray for the family that has kindly donated their loved ones organs at their time of sadness and bless Tracey-Lee for the beautiful and life saving gift..... you go girl.......xoxoxoxoooooxxxxoooo
