wow, yesterday was a long and exhausting day and though the monkeychatter in my mind wouldnt let me enjoy it, I was grateful for that extra hour that the time police decided to give us. Reminds me of the old joke about the Indian blanket... So its another bright and shiny, I am still basking in the glow of a sold out show at the Yellow Moon cafe last night. I was so thrilled to get to see several old friends of mine from waaay back, folks I hadnt seen in a while. Glad they still remember me. and I am glad they are still out there. It was a fun crowd, the kind of crowd where you can start laying the silly singalong tunes on them right from the start cause they are already stoked to have a good time. I like that. RB had lots of extra notes up his sleeve last night. Notes I hadnt heard before. I could tell he was into it because on the songs where there is an extended solo jam out part, and I am supposed to keep eye contact to see where it ends, he wouldnt look over at me after a few loops, he just kept jamming and jamming and jamming, and just when you think its going to peak out, he pushes it higher. I like that. Another Day, Another Dollar, we are headed back to the Heritage Days Festival at Southeast Illinois College today, for a show at 2pm. Gonna try to get there a little earlier so we can actually walk around this huge deal and maybe pick up a few Christmas presents. It is a Craft O Rama of gargantuan proportions. I hope there will be some familiar faces in the crowd today. The lady with loud donut machine happily promised to turn it off during our set. I like that.
