The zeal of some doctors to render selfless services and go extra mile for patients has been destroyed because it is now more clear that the masses do not have any sympathy for doctors. The spirit is; just attend to us, we dont give a damn if you die in the process. 9.) Era of free consultation by masses may be gone. A man was shocked and embarrassed when he met a resident doctor on the walk-way, and consulted him as usual, but the doctor looked at him and mentioned his consultation fee instead of saying go and buy this or that. I gave the resident doctor a hug after a warm handshake. 10.) This administration has attracted a bad international reputation by not exhibiting circumspection in even proclaiming it sacked-cum suspended 16000 resident doctors in a country with bad health statistics and appalling doctor-patient population ratio. All these just for failing to honor signed agreement and be sensitive. For God sake, stop provoking doctors to embark on strikes!!!! It is too costly.Just 2day SFG withdrew d circular aproving d appointment of non Dr as a consultant in a hosp as ordered by National industrial court,D post of DCMAC retored,d CMD/MD headship of hosp restored,Ministrial appointment 2 non Drs refered 2 yahamed commitee,d wrong terminology 4 HOs salary scale Conhess 9 step 4 reversed 2 conmess 1 equivalent,Hazard allowance now 30% of basic salary 4 Hos n residents n 20% 4 consultant,registrars on Conmess 2 now skipped 2 conmess 3,relativity areas of jan,feb n Aug paid rest of d months 2 be paid nest year when captured in 2015 budget.july n Aug salary has bin paid fully even wit d strike!Dats y said Govt has poor advisers!
