yeah this is pretty accurate. Our bad name comes from visitors through Newark airport looking at the filth blowers off the NJT, Newark itself, and Elizabeth, the further west you go the more rural it gets, same with the south, plenty of towns that could pass for Southern backwoods, along the east coast are the malls and highways packed with every shopping experience possible, route 9 is always jam packed because theres nothing you cant find there, in the north of the state were aggressive, surrounded by Jersey City, Newark, Passaic and Paterson, hard core hoods and it creeps into the suburbs a bit, with the NYC skyline always looming over us, the further north you go in Bergen County the more expensive and elegant it gets, towns like Alpine have an average house price of 5 million, you can go from beach to mountain in a couple of hours and get into NYC the city really quick from the east. Its got its perks, taxes arent one of them. And average home price here in central NJ is about 2-350,000, in the north its closer to 450,000
