youtu.be/U9gidSNnps8 Im half Sicilian. My Sicilian grandfather was very tall for a Sicilian, standing 6 foot 2 with red hair and blue eyes. Very fair skinned. I had often wondered if he carried genes from the Vikings that invaded Sicily. Today I did some research and the town he was from Montemaggiore was founded by the Scandinavian Vikings or Normans. So yes there is Scandinavian in my Sicilian genes. The largest City Palermo was founded by the Phoenicians. But the Arabs populated it and made it grow and thrive. My grandmothers side of the family was from Palermo. I guess I must have Arabic genes also. My eyes have the Arab shape. Sicily is the most genetically diverse place on the face of the Earth.
