People attacking others (by claiming the infamous drama card) for reaching out for help and support. People assuming bad faith from the start. People deliberately attacking others for weakness. Funny thing is, this is allegedly the season of goodwill, peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Ive seen too many examples of people forgetting that. This time of year isnt easy for a lot of people, myself included. Static on your frequency, electrical storm in your veins, raging at unreachable glory, straining at invisible chains But these days people dont want to hear about the bad, they want the good the cute - life isnt a Disney movie.. Its when people dont want to see images reminding them there is still evil, hunger and want on this earth. Yes it hurts, yes its upsetting but turning a blind eye does nothing to alleviate it. All of us do time in the gutter, dreamers turn to look at the cars turn around turn around turn around... Wouldnt it be nice if for a change, when people see someone on their friends list who may be suffering, may be hurt, may be feeling a little lost .... wouldnt it be nice to perhaps show some support. Ive been touched by the people who have, but it seems to be more prevalent for people to have a pop. I am fortunate that many of my friends seem to be immune to this anti-xmas feeling, but I have seen many people who obviously havent had a good time recently - would it hurt to reach out to them, offer some moral support - its not exactly pawning all your presents and wearing sackcloth and ashes, its remembering that not everyone sees this time of year with the same rose tinted specs as others. The milk of human kindness only needs a drop or two.. Someone on your friends list having a tough time... PM them. Offer a sympathetic ear. Dont jump to conclusions or leap to a bad faith interpretation. Turn around and walk the razors edge, dont turn your back and slam the door on me
