Because theyre both played brilliantly by the HK legend Choy Yun Fatt and Aaron Kwok. These two are the ones that carried the whole movie with their convincing performances in their respective roles as compare to the annoying and pathetic extra, The Monkey King. The script writer/director should be kissed for making the Jade Emperor a heroic fighting general that ACTUALLY fought on the frontline itself as compare to sitting back in the office and letting his subordinates doing his dirty job. On the other side, the script director should be put to death for degrading and raping the whole original plot and have the audacity to make Erlang Sheng a real evil SOB in this movie. Just a GOOD movie. Never very good and definitely far far far away from excellent. Sorry, if ya want to change the story, at least do it like Stephen Chow.
