How can someone give up his one and only son so I can be redeemed? I cannot grasp this unconditional love he gives It doesn’t make sense that he wants me to receive. God gave Christ so we can be right with him The magnitude of his love brings me to repent of my sin He wants to seize my heart so he can have my whole being Who am I to turn down an offer that is so humbling. For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. – 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT) MADE RIGHT WITH GOD THROUGH CHRIST It took me half a century before I was able to snap out of a spiritual coma. In the past, when I hear about God’s love for me, it was hard to fathom why he would. The bible tells us that God gave Christ so he can be the offering for our sins and made right with him. Nothing we do can change his love. I was overwhelmed with so much joy and peace when I finally succumbed to God’s invitation to let him in my heart. PRAYER Lord, show me how to receive your love. REFLECTION When was the last time you experienced God’s love immensely?
