youtube/watch?v=quyFYylF3_g A song about Leeuwarden. Thats not the Amsterdam and Rottterdam of Friesland at the same time... The innercity and some suburbs are selfware and uptown. The innerctity is very nice on many spots, just like at least 30 other towns in a 300 KM circle around Leeuwarden btw. Not unique, but nice never the less Most of all the old suburbs are very poor plus not 100% free of big city problems. ( Im being nice here. ) Upside is: my cousin baught a BIG house just north of Bonkevaart for a price that would be 3 times higher in the west of The Netherlands :) About the song: one can ask if this song indeed is Frisian.... In a way it sounds Drents. It doesnt sound like Western Dutch at all. And well... The G is like the English G, this is Frisian. Some words are Frisian. And.... Its a nice song! Its the blues of a town that had some though decades.
