We support the Alzheimers Association in efforts to find a cure for this disease that effects so much of our older population. It is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, as it kills MORE than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. In the time that it will take you to read this post (about 67 seconds), someone new will have developed the disease. And to all my ladies out there, in her 60s, a women is more likely to get ALZHEIMERS than breast cancer. It truly is an epidemic and I am proud to support the effort to rid our world of this awful disease. Next Saturday, I will be walking with my fellow Sigma Kappa Sisters in the Walk for Alzheimers in Anderson SC. I have a goal to raise at least 100$ in that walk.
