yummy, found a can of jack daniels and coke, had a piece of fillet and three chestnut mushrooms, and one potato, only cheat was a knob of butter, made a reduction with the jd and coke, thinly sliced the mushrooms and put in the reduction. Seared and sealed the fillet, then with a few mushrooms and a knob of butter wrapped it 3 times in tin foil and put in the pan. Left it for 25 minutes on low heat, meanwhile sliced the potato and boiled it and then dried and placed in cold water, then fried in Macademia Nut Oil, (good essential fats in that oil including omegas, bloody expensive) Removed and dried, with the reduction simmering away, remove fillet from foil then re sear it on a red hot pan then remove to sit for 5 minutes, 1/4 cup of cold water into the jd reduction and whisk, then deglaze the pan when bubbling pour over steak and mushrooms, No photos, cos it was yummy.
