ÈSÀṆWO KINNUPE NEWSFLASH: Bida Basin Committee Meeting The Niger State Committee on the Bida Basin Petroleum deposits had a meeting last Saturday in Minna. The committee included people like Engr. Y.Y. Sani, Ambassador Solomon Adama Yisa, the IBB University dons involved in the field research on the Bida Petroleum Deposit. Most of what the committee discussed is within closed doors and not available to our reporters. But generally the committee is looking for ways to enhance the exploration ofthe petroleum deposits of KinNupe and how to make its commercial viability a reality. It should be noted that virtually the whole of KinNupe is sitting on top of some of the richest and largest mineral deposits in West Africa. And in fact there have been conflicting research reports on the petroleum deposits of KinNupe. While some researchers said the petroleum deposits of KinNupe is the largest in Nigeria, some said it is just medium or average in quantity while others said it is actually very small and that only the gas aspect of it is in fact commercially significant. But majority of those who have taken the time to investigate this matter are ofthe opinion that there is a general conspiracy regarding the revelation of the true nature of the Bida Basin Petroleum deposits and that this conspiracy is from the highest echelons of power. Some people some where don’t want the world to know the truth about not only the Bida Basin Petroleum deposit but all the other petroleum deposits of the North at least for now. There are all the indications that the entire Nupe Nation may be sitting on one of the largest oil deposits in the whole of the West African region but the federal authorities, especially before this Jonathan administration,are hiding something about this....
