İngiltere, Fransa, Hollanda ve Almanya odaklı çalışmanın sonuç bölümünden: ESS data indicate, for example, that Muslims in all four states, despite their positive outlook toward European and state institutions, are slightly uneasy in Europe about discrimination and crime. It is likely that both the bias reflected in discrimination against them and the reduction in social trust that is related to worry about crime reduce their ability to fully contribute their talents economically and socially. The processes of assessing well-being under development in individual states (...) include examination of the negative impact of discrimination, disparities in equality, political voice and social connectedness. Yet these data gathering plans do not currently propose to assess the degree to which such problems can be consequences of the structural segmentation of Muslims - as it develops, for example, from exclusionary church tax policies, bans on headscarves in public institutions, the strict language and family reunification limitations of civic integration contracts, and from multiple discrimination triggered by religious identification. To the extent that they fail to gather data specifically on the situation of Muslims (only the UK gathers such data; my remark), efforts to benchmark well-being in Europe will limit their effectiveness in reducing disparities and polarizations, and in opening the door to the full utilization of talent across the member states.
