Με Πλοίαρχο τον μοναδικό Cpt Ηλία Βερβενιώτη, το μπλε καράβι φαινόταν σαν να ταξίδευε σε ήρεμη θάλασσα, αν και η δύναμη αρκετές φορές έφτανε τοπικά τα 8 μποφόρ.
