Биеннале Золотая пчела / Golden Bee Global Biennale of Graphic Design What Serge Serov and his team pull off in Moscow is something special. Its like the circus has come to town and set up a tent full of wonders. But instead of lions, tigers and bears, there are visual delights that are every bit as entertaining, surprising and awe-inspiring. The prowess of the best designers on display isnt so different from that of trapeze artists or tightrope walkers--they make even the most challenging assignment look effortless. It was a privilege to be in the company of Serge Serov and his jurors for a few short days during Golden Bee 2014. One look at the list of jurors--designers, writers and curators who are literally changing the course of design--and you could guess that there would be strong opinions and high standards, which there were. And with the coming together of so much talent from East and West, Moscow and New York, it felt like the Olympic Games had organized an event just for graphic artists. Mirko Ilic
