خطاب منقول نريده ان يصل الى اكبر عدد ممكن لنوضح حقيقة ماحدث في مصر لنفوت الفرصة على من يريد تشويه الثورة Why we rebel against Morsi To the American People, Let me first introduce myself. I am an Egyptian, one of the 40 million who spent 5 days on the streets of Cairo cheering the former President Morsi to step down because he was not fulfilling his oath, an oath he took one year ago. Let me explain in clear points why we made that decision; why he was no longer fit to remain The President of Egypt: 1- Dr Morsy did not abide by the constitution he swore to follow. 2- Dr Morsy broke the law, which he swore to follow. 3- Dr Morsi ignored the demands of the Egyptians and only listened to the “Brother Hood”. 4- Dr Morsi gave pardon and acquitted prisoners who were given life sentences for murder and trafficking. There are many more reasons but I have listed the most important. We stood in the Streets of all Egypt, demanding that he changes his policies and that he abides by the oath he took. Within the 5 days Dr Morsy made two speeches to the millions of Egyptians and said ‘NO’ to all our demands. As a result we called upon our Army to help and support us, which they did. Dr Morsy was given an ultimatum to respond to the People, which he again ignored. Dr Morsi was then put under house arrest and the Head of Our Supreme Court has taken over for an interim period until we, The Egyptians, vote for a new president. I explain this to you ‘The American People” because your President now is supporting Dr Morsi against ‘The People”. I explain this to you because you are citizens of the largest country in the world advocating and practicing democracy. I explain and ask you.. Is it democratic to support a President against the will of the Nation? Is it democratic to support Dr Morsi against 40 million Egyptians who protested against him and have asked him to step down? Is it democracy to claim that a revolution is a coup? An Egyptian Citizen
