من اجل النهوض بالسينما الآشـورية .. في الثاني من شهر شباط عام 1991 في سدني استراليا عرض على شاشات سينما هويتس العملاقة اول فيلم آشوري ( وردى ديشى ) بعد اكثر من ستة آلاف سنة من عمر الحضارة ألآشورية . والذي كتبت عنه الأقلام الآشورية والعربية والأجنبية عشرات الصفحات تحت عنوان ( ان فيلم - وردى ديشى - هو فجر السينما الآشورية ) من بطولة جورج هومه وجوليانا جندو ونخبة من ابناء وبنات امتنا في سدني . حاولت مرارا ان انتج اكثر من فيلم آشوري , لكن كانت المادة العائق الرئيسي في منع تحقيق امنيتي . منذ عام 1995 كتبت رسائل عديدة بثلاث لغات ( الآشورية , الانكليزية , والعربية ) الى مؤسساتنا في كل الدول المتواجد فيها شعبنا , لكن دون جدوى . قبل سنة ونصف سافرت الى امريكا وكندا والتقيت شخصيا بأهم مؤسساتنا الآشورية . كذلك دون جدوى . في كل الولايات الأمريكية لم اتلق دعم سوى من بعض اصحاب المؤسسات التجارية الصغيرة والتي لا يتجاوز عددها اكثر من تسع مؤسسات . مجموع الكل كان 4500$ علما ان ميزانية الفيلم هي 150,000$ رحلتي استغرقت ثلاثة شهور ما بين شيكاكو وديترويت وكاليفورنيا وكندا . يعني انني صرفت من جيبي الخاص اكثر من سبعة الاف دولار من ضمنها بطاقة الطائرة من سدني الى امريكا والعودة . تعذبت كثيرا بسبب مماطلة مؤسساتنا وعدم اكتراثها بأعمال تفيد شبابنا واطفالنا وفننا واعلامنا وادبنا وثقافتنا . ما كنت لأحس بالقهر لولا الاشاعات التي اخترعها بعض المرضى من ابناء وبنات شعبنا دون ضمير والتي تتحدث عني بكل السوء . منها اني جمعت الاف الدولارات وهربت بها الى استراليا . احبائي ... بعد هذه التجارب التي مررت بها . توصلت الى فكرة سأطرحها عليكم , امنيتي أن تشاركوني الرأي لعلنا نصنع معا سينما آشورية شعبية لا مؤسساتية . لأني وجدت أن الغني البخيل هو افقر الناس . وان الفقير المعطاء هو اغنى الناس . اليكم الفكرة : عندي 3383 صديق وصديقة . لو فرضنا ان كل صديق او صديقة تبرع للفيلم مبلغ 50$ يعني انني سأصور واخرج هذا الفيلم بمزانية تكفي لانتاجه بجودة سينمائية عالية . ثم بامكان كل صديق او صديقة مشاركتنا باضافة هذا المنشور في صفحاتهم الرئيسية والطلب من اصدقائهم نشره ايضا في صفحاتهم مع كتابة الردود . قبل أن نضيف كافة المعلومات عن كيفية التبرع ونوع الحساب . نود أن نعرف رغبة الأصدقاء والصديقات ومدى تجاوبهم مع الموضوع . ملاحظة هامة . ستذكر اسماء المتبرعين في الفيلم . وعند العرض سترسل بطاقات شرف للمتبرعين مع تاريخ ومكان العرض . كذلك يمكن للذين لهم الرغبة في التمثيل ارسال نبذة عن وضعهم العائلي والعملي مرفقة بالصور الى الصندق الخاص برسائلي ) in box ) ليتم في المستقبل اجراء مقابلة شخصية معهم . اتمنى من كل الأحبة ان يبدوا ارائهم حول هذا الموضوع السينمائي الآشوري مع كل المحبة والتقدير والامتنان. . قصـــة آشوريــــة سينمائيــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــــة / الفكرة / آتور امرأة في غاية الجمال والعقل والروح . هي ام آشور , الشاب الغني والشجاع , والذي يتمتع بحكمة وثقافة وسلطة . وهو شقيق بابل الفتاة الذكية وعالمة الفلك والفلسفة والقانون . زوجته نينوى المرأة التي يعشقها لحسن جمالها وقوة بصيرتها. في قمة مجد الأم آتور وفي ذروة عظمة ابنها آشور , تحاك مؤامرة لاغتصاب الأم وحرق ممتلكات آشور بتدبير من احد ابناء اخته بابل بالتعاون مع اوراهم رئيس حرس بوابات قصر آشور ليتفقان مع عدو آشور ( كورش ) . فتغتصب الأم في مناسبة عيد ميلاد آشور , ويحتل القصر بعد صراع مرير وتخطف زوجته نينوى كما تخطف بابل , فما كان بوسع آشور الا أن ينقذ اولاده الثلاثة آشور الذي سمّاه على اسمه, وحمورابي و آرم , ليحميهم ويلتجىء الى جباله مع نخبة من اصحابه . تمر السنين حتى يأتي اليوم الذي يسمع فيه آشور ان هناك رجلا يشفي المرضى ويقيم الموتى . يؤمن به هو وكل اولاده واصحابه وتبدأ مرحلة جديدة في حياته غير ان تلك المرحلة اضعفت قوة آشور لتحل مكانها قوة الايمان ليبدأ بالتبشير هو واولاده واصحابه حتى تمكن من نشر الايمان في اقاصي الأرض . كانت عيون العدو الجديد القادم من الغرب ترى عظمة ايمان آشور وقدرته على نشره فما كان منه الا أن يدس بعض من جواسيسه في محاولة لاضعاف ايمان آشور واحتلال مركز قوته بعملية خبيثة كان سببها انقسام بين ابناء آشور . كانت قساوة الحياة شديدة وظروف المعيشة صعبة . بقي آشور الولد البكر على ايمانه وتحوّل حمورابي وآرم الى معتقد العدو الجديد . فصار حمورابي ( كلدو ) وآرم صار ( ياقو ) . بالرغم من شدة ايمان آشور الابن , غير انه كان متمسكا اكثر بايمانه الذي ورثه عن ابيه من عادات وتقاليد, بعكس اخوته . فقد بدأت اللغة الغريبة تحتل المكانة الأولى في قراءات وصلوات الأثنين . موجة جديدة وصلت الى ارض آشور بمعتقد جديد والذي اجبر العديد من اصحاب آشور اعتناق تلك العقيدة بقوة السيف . بعد صراع سنين طويلة ادرك الأخوة الثلاثة انه لا مفر من العودة الى اتحاد ايمانهم الواحد بقضية امتهم كي يحموا ذاتهم الواحدة من الضياع والتلاشي والموت . فيتفق الأخوة على خطة ذكية تعيد مجد آشور الى الحياة . يحمل آشور سلاح النضال . وكلدو يدرس الطب . اما ياقو فيدرس القانون والاعلام . يتخلل الفيلم قصة حب رومنسية بين آشور الابن وبين نينوى ابنة حكيم يدعى اخيقار. جان هومه + + + ملاحظة هامة -------------- في حال لم يكتمل المبلغ المطلوب والذي هو 150.000 دولار ( ميزانية الفيلم ). يحوّل المبلغ الوارد من المتبرعين الى مشروع انتاج فيلم آشوري غنائي للأطفال . جـان هومِـه For the advancement of the Assyrian cinema On February 2nd 1991, in Sydney, Australia, the first Assyrian film “Wardeh Disheh” was shown on the giant Hoyts cinema screen, first time ever after more than six thousand years of the Assyrian civilization history. In Assyrian, Arabic, English and other foreign languages, dozens of pages were written describing the film “Warde Dishee”, starring George Homeh, Juliana Jendo and other Assyrian actors and actresses from Sydney, as the dawn of the Assyrian cinema. I have repeatedly tried to produce more Assyrian films, but the financial aspect had been the major obstacle in preventing me from fulfilling my wishes. Since 1995, I have written several letters in three languages (Assyrian, English and Arabic) to our institutions, in every countries where Assyrians lived, seeking their support, but to no avail. About year and a half ago, I traveled to the USA and Canada and, I personally met with representatives of some prominent Assyrian institutions, pursuing their support, again to no avail. In all USA, I received support from only nine business owners. Their support totalled $4,500; however, the budget for the film was $150,000. My trip to the USA and Canada lasted three months travelling between Chicago, Detroit, California and Canada. It cost me $7,000, including my flight ticket to the USA and back to Sydney. During the trip, I was greatly disturbed by our institutions procrastination and their disregard of the benefits for our young generation, our art, our literature and our culture. After the trip, I felt very troubled when some rumors were invented by some ill individuals who had no morals or principles, and who spoke evil of me, including accusing me of collecting thousands of dollars and fleeing to Australia. My dear friends, after this struggle and this experience, I have reached a conclusion that I would like to share with you. I wish for you is to express your opinion, so we may, together create a popular Assyrian cinema, supported by people like you, and not by institutions. I have established that a generous poor is wealthier than a greedy rich. Here is the idea: I have 3383 friends. If we assume that each friend donated $50 towards the budget of the film, I would be able to direct and produce the film with sufficient budget and would achieve a high quality production. Assyrian Film Story (Idea); Atour, a woman of great beauty, mind and spirit, is the mother of Ashur. Ashur is a rich and a brave young man, who is wise, knowledgeable, and strong. Ashur is the brother of Babylon, a smart woman, who is very knowledgeable in astrology, philosophy and law. Nineveh is Ashur’s wife, whom he loves for her beauty, intelligence and far-sightedness. As Atour is at the top of her glory and Ashur, at the height of greatness, a plot is planned to rape Atour, the mother, and burn all of Ashur’s properties. The mastermind of the plot is one of Babylon’s sons, in collaboration with Abraham, the head of Ashurs’ palace guards and in collaboration with Koresh, an enemy of Ashur. On Ashurs birthday, his mother Atour is raped. The palace is occupied after a bitter struggle and both Ashur’s wife and sister (Nineveh and Babylon) are kidnapped. After the struggle, Ashur is only able to save his three children, Ashur Jr., Hammurabi and Aram. Ashur takes off to the mountains along with a group of his great men to protect his children. Years pass by, and one day, Ashur learns of a man, who heals the sick and resurrects the dead. Ashur, his children and his friends believe in that man, and Ashur begins a new stage of his life. The new stage, however, weakens Ashur’s physical power but strengthens his command of faith. Consequently, Ashur, his children and his friends start to spread their faith in distant parts of the earth. Eyes of a new enemy, from the West, see greatness in Ashur’s faith and see his ability to spread his faith. The new enemy sends some spies in an attempt to dwindle Ashur’s faith and occupy his power through an evil act, which caused the three sons of Ashur to separate. Ashur’s life becomes harsh and very difficult. However, Ashur Jr., the oldest son continues with his faith, but Hammurabi and Aram convert to the faith of the new enemy. Hammurabi becomes Caldo, and Aram becomes Yako. Despite the power of faith, Ashur Jr., the oldest son, is still caught in the same faith, customs and traditions he had inherited from his father, unlike his brothers. The foreign language begins to occupy the place of the original language in readings and prayers. A new wave emerges in the land of Ashur , the new faith forces by the use of sword many of Ashur’s friends to covert to the new faith. After many years of struggle, the three brothers realize that their current situation is inevitable. They must re-unit, form an alliance of faith, and believe their national identity in order to protect them from being diminished and lost. So, the three brothers agree on a clever plan to restore the glory of their father, back into their life again. Ashur Jr. carries arms to fight, Caldo studies to become a doctor and Yako studies law and broadcasting. The film includes a romantic story between Ashur and Nineveh, the daughter of a wise man named Akhigar. John Homeh
