पक्षियों की सभा ही रही थी | सभा में तय होना था कि उनका राजा कोन बनेगा | इस मुदे पर कुछ पक्षी लड़ने लगे | यह देख कर सब से बुज़ुर्ग पक्षी, जिसे सभी लोग संत कहते थे ने कहा, “राजा वाही बन सकता है जिसमें ताकत हो, सूझभूझ हो और जो अपने समाज को एकजुट रख सके | यह सुन सभी पक्षी एक दुसरे को देखने लगे | उसी समय एक पक्षी ने खड़े होकर कहा, “में सबसे शक्तिशाली हू इसलिय में राजा बनूगा | उसकी बगल में पंख फेलाए दुसरे पक्षी ने कहा, “तुमसे जयादा शक्तिशाली और बुदिमान में हू | इसलिय राजा बनने का मोका मुझे मिलना चाहिय |’ जब सर्व्सम्ह्ती से तय नहीं हुआ कि राजा कोन बने तो संत ने कहा, ‘तुम दोनों लड़ो | जो जीत जाएगा वही राजा बनेगा |’ दोनों आपस में लड़ने लगे | पहले वाले पक्षी ने छल कपट से जीत हासिल कर ली | संत ने उसे विजयी घोषित कर दिया | सभी विजयी पक्षी के इर्द गिर्द जमा होकर उसका गुणगान करने लगे | विजयी पक्षी चाहता था कि उसके राजा बनने की बात आसपास के सभी पक्षी जान ले | इसलिय इठलाता हुआ पेड़ की डाल पर बेठ गया और अकड कर उची आवाज में बोला, ‘सब लोग देखो मुझे | में हू विजयी पक्षी | में राजा बन गया हू |’ तभी ऊपर से एक चील ने उस पर झपटा मारा और उसे अपने पंजे में दबा कर उड़ गया | पक्षियों की सभा में हडकंप मच गया और सब आंसू बहाने लगे | पक्षियों का संत बोला – तुम लोग आंसू क्यों बहा रहे हो? तुम्हे तो खुश होना चाहिए |’ एक पक्षी ने पूछा, ‘आखिर क्यों?’ संत ने कहा, तुम लोग ने देखा होगा कि राजा बनने पर उसमें कितना अहंकार आ गया था | वह अंहकार वश अपना गुणगान खुद कर रहा था | एक अंहकारी राजा से हमे इंतनी जल्दी मुक्ति मिल गई | यह तो हमारे समाज का सोभाग्य है | अंहकारी राजा कभी भी अपने समाज को सुरक्षा नहीं दे सकता | (1827) Rating: 7.3/10 (6 votes cast) अहंकार का अंत - Hindi Motivational Story with Moral, 7.3 out of 10 based on 6 ratings Incoming search: 1.
