আজকে The Daily Sun newspaper এর campus পার্টে The teacher never to be forgottenMd. Rezaul Karim শিরোনামে একজন এক্স NotreDamian article টা লিখেছেন । নিচে হুবহু কপি পেস্ট করে দিচ্ছি It was a blistering noon. In the math period, a new teacher came in our class. We could see that he was sweating all over due to the heat. He smiled and said, So hot! How can we start the class? Soon, we discovered this man never stops laughing. He was quick on his feet and continuously wandering between the two ends of the dais. I know the weather is not at all favorable for studying. But, always remember that the perfect time never comes, my boy. There was a certain charismatic way he pronounced the words my boy. From that day on, we always coveted to hear those words. That man was Md. Rezaul Karim. We were students of Notre Dame College group 2 and privileged to become his students for about six months. He taught us calculus and mechanics. During that time, the political situation was volatile and there was a shutdown every other day. Considering the fact that the syllabus to be covered in six months was too big, he even tried to utilize the five minutes break between the classes. Sit tight and stare at me, my boy, he always said that to the students. He demanded everyone to be attentive all the time and miraculously 180 students became so. There was something about his personality that made it possible. After teaching every single topic he would say, Ask me if you didnt understand this. If you dont do that, you will be liable to God. He left us no option but to concentrate on the hard problems of calculus and mechanics. And he did it with such ease that it should be said his teaching method is legendary. Sometimes he punished the students who tried to break the harmony of the class by giving away correction. He told us not to consider it as a form of punishment. Why call it punishment? This is correction, my boy. It will correct you. Most often he asked to submit huge written assignments as correction. Every single minute of his class was to the point and enjoyable. It wont be an overrated statement if I say each and every student of the class loved him. His personality, teaching quality, charismatic appearance and sense of humor made him a man of honor and a person who cannot be disliked. He taught us with such active manner that a whole packet of facial tissues wouldnt suffice to clean up his sweaty face. Reza Sirs ethics was beyond scrutiny. He never coached any student of his class outside the college for commercial purpose. His ethic was unparalleled to that of any other teachers. He never gave priority to coaching centers ahead of his class. When at the end of the year 2014 the political situation became worse, he managed extra classes for us. He insisted that he was liable to teach us well. I will teach you and complete the syllabus fully and thoroughly. I will also help you understand the theories and problems you didnt understand, my boy. Ask me your questions and I will try my best to answer those. Because, Im liable to God for teaching you well. he said. A man with such awareness, values, ethics and humility is never to be insulted. He never looks at any of his students without a big smile. Deep inside his heart hes a good man and you can tell it from outside. Because goodness illuminates from his presence. When we hear the words my boy, it rings loudly in our heart and soul. -The writer is a former student of Notre Dame College #NDC1156121 Md Jahid Hasan Shourav
