“തായേ യശോദ ഉന്തൻ ആയർ കുലത്തുദിത്ത” ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലെ താളിയോല ഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് കിട്ടിയ വിവരമനുസരിച്ച് എ.ഡി.1700നും 1765നും ഇടയിൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു എന്നു കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ “തായേ യശോദ ഉന്തൻ ആയർ കുലത്തുദിത്ത” എന്ന ഗാനം കാവ്യാത്മകതയും സംഗീതവും മനോഹരമായി ഇഴച്ചേർന്ന കൃതിയാണ്. ഈ ഗാനം ആദ്യമായി അദ്ദേഹം പാടിയപാടെ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ മുൻപിലെത്തി ന്യത്തം ചെയ്തു എന്നാണ് ഐതിഹ്യം .
