මහින්දට තවමත් ඡන්දය දෙන අයවලුන්ට බුදුහාමුදුරුවන්ගෙන් උපමාවක්“The Buddha’s Parable of the Burning House.” for UPFA supporters ‘දවසක් මම ගෙයක් දුටිමි- එය ගින්නට හසුව තිබුණිරත් පැහැ ගත් ගිනි ජාලා එහි පියසින් උසට නැගුණිඑහි තුළ මම දනන් දුටිමි- දොර හැර ඔවුනට හඬගාපිටවන්නැ යි මම කීවෙමි. එහෙත් එදන සැලූණේ නැත- හදිසි බවක් පෙන්නුවෙ නැත.එක් අයෙකුගේ රැවුල පවා පිළිස්සෙද්දි ඔහු ඇසුවේගෙයින් පිටත මීට හොඳද- වැසි වසීද සුළඟ තදදදැවෙන නිවෙස දමා ගොසින්- ඉන්න ගෙයක් තියෙනවාද?මෙවැනි ප‍්‍රශ්න රාශියක් ය. මම පිළිතුරු නොදී ඔහුට- නැවත වරක් වුණෙමි නිහඬ.මට සිතුණා මේ දරුවන් නගන ප‍්‍රශ්න නවත්තන්නේ- ගින්නෙන් නැසුණාම කියා’. ‘‘සත්තකින්ම ප‍්‍රිය දරුවනි, යම් මිනිසකු පොළෝ තලේතැබූ දෙපා දැවෙන තුරා – වෙන තැනකට නොයාවි නම්ඒ දන හට සරණ යන්න- බණක් නැතිය මට කියන්න’’.එලෙසයි අප හිමි ගෞතම පිළිතුරු දුන්නේ පෙර කල.’’-------------------------------------------------------“Lately I saw a house.
