ツ Breanna has been ADOPTED! ツ Out of the blue, the email came. I read through the information. They were a retired couple, who lived at the beach. They had helped out with a relatives dogs for about a year...and guess what type? Yes, a Brussels Griffon and a little Beagle. After their visitors went home for good, the couple realized how empty the house was. They wanted furbabies of their own. And they were so tickled to find a little Brussels Griffon. I called them and we talked on the phone for an hour and I emphasized all the things I was still working on with Breanna, shared all the little things which seem to scare her. I explained she could be stubborn, she would not come when you called her, she could be snippy if she did not want to do something. The couple kept saying,...yes - sounds just like the griffon that stayed with us. After talking, they wanted to come the next morning, but my schedule would not allow it. So today seemed to be a good day for both of us. Breanna and I spent the morning together. I talked to Breanna all morning... about how her new owners would be home all day, how they would spoil her and give her walks all the time. She would ride around on their golf cart and walk along the beach. How this was hard, but it was part of being in a foster home. We packed up all her items, her blanket, the sweet pink harness with ribbon. The couple arrived and Breanna was delightful. She played with them on the front porch like she had known them forever. Once inside, Breanna quickly settled in on his lap and even cuddled. The couple loved her from the moment they saw her. Breanna rode off in a big white SUV with tinted windows no less. So Breanna. I am so very, very happy for this wonderful little girl. Seven months ago to this very date, the shelter asked Donna Ezzell if she would take the little pregnant girl and of course, Donna did not say no. Now, if I can just stop crying. Sarah K.
