（日本語アフター英語です） Hello Iku, Kuru, and the Tokyo Ultimate community, Im Niji, the newly appointed captain of IKU. It was just about 7 years ago when I first showed up to IKU pickup. I was young, care-free with long curly hair and already the knees of a master’s player. Having been a part of the family since, Im excited and nervous to be taking up the reins of this wonderful, prestigious team. Following such a long line of class acts (Tamir, Jei, Yoshio) will be no easy feat, and Ill definitely need everyones help to keep our community improving/growing. I briefly would like to take this moment to focus on what I hope to work on as captain: 1. Organization - Being more specific with roles, deadlines, among other things 2. Integration - Working together with the Brain Trust and Kuru leadership more - Communicating with the team/community more effectively/Being more transparent/Having a Calendar with all important dates for both Kuru and Iku - Getting young blood in our leadership 3. Building Longevity - Ultimately, all my goals for IKU are built around attending and succeeding at WUCCs in 2018 - I believe growing our community and increasing the level of everyone (Iku/Kuru and pickup) is vital As a first step, I have created a calendar with Dougs assistance for all IKU/KURU activities through Dream Cup. When I have a vision of what I want to accomplish, I want nothing more than to accomplish that dream. I have a lot of ideas of what we can accomplish, of what we can do better, and Im sure you guys do too. And I know I cant do it alone. I need your help. I need your help to create an even bigger, better IKUKURU family. To create an even better, fantastically fun team that we all love.
