親愛なる友人たち: Dear Friends: Due to cultural - TopicsExpress

親愛なる友人たち: Dear Friends: Due to cultural differences, I have some difficulties to understand and be understood by you. So I would like to make clear my position. I love Japan, even the Japanese do not like me. I am a grandson of Japanese, and I see in Japan, an extension of my ancestors, and I wish the good of this country. I do not know Japan, never been there, and probably never will. But I know the West, and I know the mind of Western people. And I can say with conviction that the efforts of the Japanese to change history and deny the alleged war crimes, causes more damage to the reputation of Japan than the charges themselves. Germany, unlike Japan, seeks to divert attention from its past, the achievements of the present. And with that, became the most admired and well-regarded country in the world, even having a terrifying past. Japan, to try to restore the past, puts it at the forefront of attention of people around the world. And so, people will forget the achievements and positive contributions that Japan did in the last sixty years. Think about it.
