NO WORK IN NCR DURING PAPAL VISIT ABS-CBNnews Posted at 12/23/2014 1:27 PM MANILA - Malacanang has declared special non-working days in the National Capital Region on January 15, 16, and 19 due to the visit of Pope Francis. Based on Proclamation No. 936, Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. said: “In view of the visit of the Pope, the Head of State of the Vatican City, I, Paquito Ochoa Jr., by authority of his excellency, Benigno S. Aquino III, do hereby declare January 15, 16, and 19, 2015 as special (non-working) days in the NCR.” The Pope’s visit is expected to draw millions of Filipinos, coming from different parts of the country. Pope Francis, Jorge Bergoglio in real life, will celebrate Eucharistic masses everyday, including in Tacloban where he will visit the victims of typhoon Yolanda.
