------Ugc net coaching------- Modern Amenities for Govt Colleges, Varsities Wi-fi enabled campuses, smart classrooms, NET coaching, library automation and many other projects which were proposed under Government’s modernisation plan for colleges in Odisha, might finally see the light of day. These projects that were announced in the last two years have been lingering without being implemented for various reasons. The State Government has finally earmarked `20 crore in the budget for 2013-14 to implement them. According to reports, the State Government has made a provision of `2 crore and `1 crore for Government and non-Government colleges respectively for setting up smart classrooms. Similarly, it has earmarked `1.5 crore and `1 crore for Government and Non-Government colleges respectively for setting up wi-fi campuses. Virtual classrooms will also be set up in autonomous colleges in places like Cuttack, Puri and Khurda districts which have good bandwidth facilities. Last year, the State Government had planned to establish virtual classrooms by using information and communication technology (ICT) with an aim to overcome shortage of teachers. Virtual classrooms would enable students of one college to tune into the lectures being imparted in another. Video-conferencing facilities will be installed at the institutions and colleges will be interconnected, thereby solving the teacher shortage problems. This apart, classes on important subjects will be recorded and telecast as per the need of students in select colleges. While all science subjects will be available virtually, arts students can expect smart classes for English and economics. “ugc net jrf exam coaching classes institute” “ugc net jrf study material” global teachers academy D-2, Arjun Nagar Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi Near Green Park Metro Station Ph. 078-380-239-56 , 078-380-243-65 gtah.net The decisions were taken at a high-level meeting which was presided over by Secretary of the Higher Education Department recently. The Department has formed a six-member committee for the successful implementation of ‘quality education’ projects and a couple of preliminary meetings have taken place in this regard. Besides, the Department has decided to begin coaching facilities this year for National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC). The State Government had made the proposal for NET coaching to students across all State-run universities and post graduate colleges in November, 2011. “The universities and colleges will provide rooms and other infrastructure for setting up these centres, which will be accessible to students of these institutions. One centre can be used by 30 students. A provision of `1 crore has been made by the Government to open NET clinics in Government colleges and universities this year,” said the Secretary.
