-----DADWATCH UPDATE: WED 24 DEC----- And lo, it came to pass that a Christmas miracle did in fact occur. After being a bit too overenthusiastic with his walking yesterday Dad took a bit of a funny turn at 6.30pm last night after Mum and I went home and he was put to bed with sleeping pills. This morning it looked a bit doubtful that he would be coming home today as we hoped but he managed to have a shower and made a huge improvement so he was discharged after he learned how to give himself injections in his stomach. He thought that he wouldnt be able to face doing this but it turns out that he can so thats a big relief for everyone. After getting home, managing the step with his crutches, having a cup of tea and fussing the dog he is now asleep on his recliner and quite content. He reports that the pain is not nearly as bad as everyone warned him it would be and he loves the hospital. Thanks everyone for your kind messages - Ive been relaying them to him along with the post likes. We were coming home singing a bit of Chris Rea in the car and it felt like we were all driving home for Christmas so the festivities can commence now. Huzzah! https://youtube/watch?v=uey6VktC5ms
