We have made enormous strides in rehabilitating the Museum – new doors, all windows replaced, insulation in the attic, one wall and the “basement area”, and electric heaters in two office spaces. The Society is renewing the can-do attitude it had for years. The Society is reaching out to others groups and organizations to create partnerships that enhance the quality of programs and efforts to make Gray more than a pass through village. The Society is asking you to reinvest, become re-activated, to help as we re-vitalize this important community organization. It is time for our Annual Meeting. I ask you to attend, renew your membership, bring a new member to the meeting, and consider becoming a member of the Board of Directors. Many hands make for light work – Gray Historical Society is on the rise, join the movement, and become reacquainted with your energized team! The Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 5:30 PM, at the Congregational Church Parish Hall on Brown Street. Cost for the meal and program is $14.00 per person. We are pleased to have one of our own, Peter Sawyer as our guest speaker. Peter will present a history of Maine Narrow Gauge Railroads. He has been a volunteer for the Maine Narrow Gauge for several years, and is very excited that the Railroad will be coming to Gray in the next two years!
