- A few weeks ago I got approached by a couple ladies who are apart of the Stampede Indian Princess Committee. They were very excited to meet with me and told me that I should run because Im a very gifted speaker and a positive role model. However all the excitement died down after the fact I told them that I was a mother to a beautiful 2 year old girl. Basically brushed under the rug because I am a mom. The rules state that in order to be the SIP you must not bear children. I honestly think there needs to be updated rules because thats just discriminating against a lot of mothers that I know who could easily capture the title of SIP. Just because Im a young mother does that make me unfit to hold such a title? Am I NOT a role model anymore? I would be honored to represent my people intelligently and respectfully. Imagined if I spoke up and got the rules changed and one day I go against the norm to become the first SIP who is a mother. My little girl will see first hand that her mom is a princess. That is my dream and that is all I ever want... To make Palmer proud... One day the rules will change and I will make sure it does ;)
