- The defense has essentially attempted to redefine the criteria necessary to obtain a guilty or not guilty verdict for a jury, they hope to convince are not competent of concluding the OBVIOUS. But since this is their game, they have the right to change the rules...right ? WRONG. Without justice, there can be no peace. Or at least not peace worth being proud of. This case brings into debate the value of the Black American citizen, whether taken at the hands of a White, LATINO, Asian, or even another African American citizen. This case is not only disheartening, but defining...of the progress or rather lack thereof we have made as a nation.
