- Vegas Vince: RIP Brother - Dam, when it rains it pours. Tonight, I check into FB and notice two posts mentioning Vegas Vince. I never met Vegas face to face. Never watch a video from him or subscribed to his email. Someone how we found each other on Facebook and exchanged comments and private messages now and then. The guy was out there, living life on his terms and made no apologies for it. I did not always agree with his view points, hookers, blow and the rest. However, I respected and liked the guy. Few people speak their mind, Vegas did and for that he was legendary. About four days ago I posted a video about potato salad. In the video, I spoke about living for today. Living for the moment and seizing the opportunities that we are given. That video was spurred on by the lose of Robin Williams. ... and now, weve lost Vegas. Ive had this post in me for a while, so here it comes. Raw, unedited and will probably continue a typo of two. Everyday I like your status updates, your pictures here on FB and I like to think that I celebrate your life with you. In some small way, that is what Facebook is all about right? Celebrating the great meals, the good times, the bad time and being in the now. Discovering new friends, cheering on old friends and again.... Celebrating life. If youre sitting on the sidelines, lurking ... the time is now. Life is here today, what are you waiting for? I got to know Vegas Vince. We enjoyed exchanging stories about Price and the MPLS music scene. Im saddened that Ill never get to hang with the dude. He truly was legendary. Im grateful for each and everyday on this planet and I do my best to make them count. If youre waiting for the perfect time to jump in and mix it up, that time is now. Just do it. Cease the day.
