-Please monitor your local news media for up to date weather information on the pending snow storm Sunday night 1/25/15 through Tuesday 1/27/15. -Below is a summary of the latest National Weather Service Forecast: -Very hazardous conditions are expected from Monday afternoon through mid day Tuesday! -A period of light snow is possible tonight, before the coastal storm brings more snow Monday afternoon into Tuesday. -There has been a significant increase in forecast snow amounts from yesterday’s forecast. There remains some uncertainty with the western extent of the highest snow totals. -The combination of windy conditions (wind gusts up to 50 mph) and the snow will result in blizzard conditions in northeast New Jersey. -For the rest of the region, some blowing snow is possible. -The Monday commutes and Tuesday morning commute will be significantly affected. -Tidal flooding is possible with the Monday night and Tuesday high tides for the Atlantic Coast and Delaware Bay. -Very cold air sweeps in the wake of this system. Expect subzero wind chills as we move into Wednesday.
