-QUESTION TAG- Question Tag (QT) is a kind of question which is used to emphasizing a statement. Here are the patterns: +,-? -,+? The tag coming after comma is always the opposite of the sentence coming before comma. To make it clear,lets take a look at these examples: 1. Jono is angry,isnt he? 2. They dont like Durian, do they? 3. You have a son,dont you? 4. He has eaten 4 bowls of noodle, hasnt he? If the subject is in the form of indefinite pronouns (everybody,everyone,everything,anybody,etc), the tag has to be they. For instance: 1. Everybody has got the point, havent they? 2. No one loves me, do they? If it is an imperative sentence,the tag has to be will you? For instance: Turn off the TV,will you? If it is an invitation using the word let us or lets,the tag has to be shall we? For instance: lets dance,shall we? A sentence containing negative meaning (never,hardly,seldom,etc.),the tag has to be positive. For instance: Youve never had this kind of experience, have you?
