It will be honoring nearly 125 crore Indians. PUBLISHED and PAPER (in SCI-E journal, Current Contents, Web of Science ) ATTACHED Newton’s Status in world Newton’s 2nd law of motion is taught right from second law in the world. In simple words as given textbooks it states “Rate of change of momentum is proportional to impressed force.” Mathematically, F =ma Problem with this In his master piece the Principia (1687, 1713, 1726) Newton at page 19-20 has NOT stated The law in above form. Newton had written in the Principia “Alteration in velocity is proportional impressed force.” No mathematical equation was given. Even acceleration and second derivative were not defined Newton even did not give mathematical equation for Law of Gravitation’ Ajay took the challenge In 1985, as Lecturer Physics in DAV College Chandigarh , Ajay read the Principia , and concluded that text books teach different what Newton wrote in the Principia. He took challenge finally in 2012 while writing his book BEYOND NEWTON AND ARCHIMEDES ( now published from Cambridge, England) , to tell the world truth. Purchased air ticket for nearly Rs 90,000 / only from own pocket, managed other expenses from pocket. Timidly presented the paper , and for Newton , it was eclipse on sky. The President of Society, Professor Robert Bradley (Chairman Department of Mathematics and Computer Science , Adelphi University , New York ) appreciated Ajay paper and encourage for the same. What Ajay Said? Newton did not give Second Law of Motion (F=ma). It was given by Swiss Mathematician Leonhard Euler in 1775 in mathematical form (Ajay have all relevant papers in files) . It happened after 48 years of death of Newton. Then somehow Newton’s own law (2nd law in the Principia ) was sidelined and Euler Law was inserted as Newton’s . No where Euler is mentioned even now.
