(0) Signatures May 21, 1958-Oct. 2, 2014 HEYBURN | Robert C. Lafferty, age 56, of Heyburn, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at his home in Heyburn. Bob was born May 21, 1958, in Burley, Idaho, the son of Noah and Doris Lafferty. Bob grew up in Burley and attended Burley schools, later attending Boise State University, graduating the top of his class in auto-mechanics in 1981. Bob married Shawna Atchley in July of 1985. They were later divorced but always remained good friends. Bob worked in the pump business for more than 15 years until his health started failing. He was a true Jack of all trades. Besides being a skilled mechanic, he was a master carpenter and builder and built may beautiful pieces of furniture. There wasn’t an auto or appliance of any kind he couldn’t repair. Bob loved nature, animals, his nieces and nephews, and his family. He was a kind man who loved to laugh and be with family and friends and would help anyone who asked. Bob was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Doris Lafferty; his sisters, Dee Ann LaMarche and Linda Lafferty; and a brother, Stephen Lafferty. He is survived by his sisters, Corrine Cantu of Austin, Tex., and Barbara Pope of Burley; and a brother, Dennis Lafferty of Twin Falls. Bob would not want to be remembered for his illness that he eventually lost the battle with but for his endless skills and talents, and his zest and enthusiasm for life. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 East 16th St. in Burley.
