07/01/2015 Unfortunately Pimms has had a set back as his potassium levels dropped overnight to 2.7 (normal levels should be 3.5 to 5.5 with levels below 3 being problematic). So he has had to be reconnected to a pump for IV potassium and is having the oral supplement increased to 3ml to see if that will work. Still not eating much himself, will lick a couple of morsals then thats it. But has it sounds eaten more by himself than the day before, but that may be because they had a work experience girl with him a lot of the day encouraging him to keep trying. His thyroid blood results had come back ad were fine, in the 40s which is very good, but this may actually be as a result of his having been poorly causing the levels to reduce so this will be monitored more and meds adjusted if needs be for that after we get him over this. THE GOOD NEWS is that he was the best he has been since Friday, very talkative and has been sharing cuddles with all the vet team. Was very pleased to see us and even asked Susana for a shoulder cuddle when we were there (which she was pleased with too as he doesnt know them that well). Case of seeing what tomorrow brings.
